Splunk Email Server Configuration

1. From the Search and Reporting app home page, select Settings > Server settings > Email settings.

2. Now, Specify the following Mail Server Settings values. My configuration is shown in the picture following

3. As per the need you can change Email Domains, Email Format, and PDF Report Settings. I changed the link hostname from Email Format so that when you try to open the link from your alert mail it will redirect to that alert.

I was running on localhost so I put 127.0.0.1

4. Now you need to settings up your google account less secure. For that just go to Manage account Setting> Security > Less secure app access and keep it ON from OFF.

5. Now, you just need to add an email in the Edit Alert>Trigger Actions>Sent Email and just add an email who what to get alert.

6. it's ready you will get an alert when the condition is triggered.
